Pre Season Friendly
WELBECK FC 0 REAL UNITED 21
Ok folks I thought I may see a few goals here, but 21-0 I never thought was possible, lets start with Welbeck FC, a new manager of a club that hasn't had much success over the years but a club I respect, esp their Chairman Graham hall who could have easily walked away from his club but has hung on there fighting and hoping that one day the club may just do well.
The friendly was a one sided and after 43 minutes the home keeper handled the ball outside the area to which referee coud well have sent the keeper off whilst his side was losing 8-0 but to Real's credit they asked for the keeper to remain on the pitch as it was only a friendly game, the ref agreed but from the resulting free kick the keeper banged his head as the ball enter the goal and he had to be replaced.
The Second Half, Real put 8 second team players on, but they looked good against a struggling Welbeck side as a couple of them walked off, but credit to them they wanted to carry on playing, sadly everytime Real broke forward it looked a matter of how many goals they would score. The Welbeck Manager at several times asked the referee to finish the game, but the Welbeck players on the pitch wanted to continue so the referee played the action on.
The game was played to the full 90 minutes and ended in my record score of 0-21, I don't like one sided games like this but it raised £5.25 towards my blogs charity, I would like to thank Real United FC Manager Gaz Hayward for a kind donation of £5 taking the running total to £336.00
Real Goalscorers were: Large(6), Ryan(4), Spier(3), Juno(3), Hopp(2), Venables, Glodi, Ryan
