CHARITY NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL BLOG

Each year, me and my wife Hazel have decided to help a different CHARITY, by donating 25p every goal we see at the matches we attend.
Over the years, people and clubs from as far as Coxhoe in Durham down to Penzance in Cornwall have donated as we have visited the grounds and we have raised over £3,500 in the 4 seasons we have run the Charity Blog. As you can see from the Photo above, last season(2014-15) we raised £1325.00 for Support Dogs.

During the 2015-16 season, we are supporting 2 worthy causes

1. THE FOXTON CENTRE
2. INTEGRITAS

Both Charities aid homeless people and people with mental issues and vulnerable adults. So if you would
like to make a donation(no matter how small) and
you see me at a match, please come up to me or Hazel, we would be very grateful. All Donators will get a mention on the blog and the running total is on the left hand side.

Many Thanks

Rob & Hazel Hornby

CLARK & HARDY SEND ALL WHITES TO THE NEXT ROUND

FA VASE
First Qualifying Round
BELPER UNITED FC 2 CLIFTON ALL WHITES FC 4
after extra time
Att: 58

Always like the FA Vase as it pits teams from different leagues against each other and as Clifton All Whites were the Nottinghamshire Senior League's only representatives, I decided to go and represent the league and cheer on Clifton All Whites FC.

The game kicked off and Clifton set out their stall and were on on the attack, but after 7 minutes, they were caught on the break when they felt the game should have been stopped as their defender was on the floor, but Belper played to the whilstle and were awarded a penalty when a trip was adjudged in the box, duly up stepped LOUIS MULDIN to fire them in front.

Clifton continued to have the share of play but the final ball was missing, whilst Belper looked dangerous on the break.

After half time and Clifton made a tactical change and on 53 minutes, a ball was played in front the right wing and CONNOR HARDY was first to react and slotted it home at the near post to make it 1-1. On the hour, Clifton had turn the tie round and were ahead after a superb angled shot from the edge of the area by CONNOR HARDY.

Clifton then switched off and all credit to Belper United, they gained a corner and SCOTT SLATER headed home from close distance to make it 2-2.

The game then flowed from end to end as both sides went in search for a winner, but after 90 minutes, the scores were level and extra time was to be played.

With 114 minutes on the clock, Clifton went back in front again when BEN CLARK fired home to the delight of the All Whites bench. In the final minute as Belper pushed forward to try and save the game, BEN CLARK put the game out of reach and push Clifton All Whites in to the next round away at East Midlands Counties club Anstey Nomads FC.

Would like to thank Belper United FC Manager Paul Postlethwaite for his kind donation towards the Blog's charity of £7.00
