CHARITY NON LEAGUE FOOTBALL BLOG

Each year, me and my wife Hazel have decided to help a different CHARITY, by donating 25p every goal we see at the matches we attend.
Over the years, people and clubs from as far as Coxhoe in Durham down to Penzance in Cornwall have donated as we have visited the grounds and we have raised over £3,500 in the 4 seasons we have run the Charity Blog. As you can see from the Photo above, last season(2014-15) we raised £1325.00 for Support Dogs.

During the 2015-16 season, we are supporting 2 worthy causes

1. THE FOXTON CENTRE
2. INTEGRITAS

Both Charities aid homeless people and people with mental issues and vulnerable adults. So if you would
like to make a donation(no matter how small) and
you see me at a match, please come up to me or Hazel, we would be very grateful. All Donators will get a mention on the blog and the running total is on the left hand side.

Many Thanks

Rob & Hazel Hornby

CLOKE SEES POLPERRO IN SEVENTH HEAVEN

East Cornwall Premier League
Premier Division
POLPERRO FC 7 LAUNCESTON FC 1
att: 25

Polperro FC captured their first win of the season with a sparkling display despite coming back from a goal behind in a entertaining match at Killigarth when defeating Launceston FC.

Before the match there was a minutes silence and the early signs of the game was both sides were to match each other with both going very close, before in the 22nd minute, the ball hit the home crossbar before bouncing out to DANNY MOORE who tap in from close range to put the visitors in front. The lead only lasted a couple of minutes before the homesters were back on level terms when LUKE CLOKE scored his first of the day. Polperro pressed forward as this goal gave them confidence and CLOKE doubled his tally and put his side in to a 2-1 lead after 32 minutes, then like buses the goals came at one, when on 34 minutes, ANDY CORDNER hot a 25 yard drive through a crowded penalty area for it to find the gap in to the bottom corner, from kick off LUKE CLOKE completed his hat trick to give Polperro a 4-1 advantage. Just before half time in the blazing sunshine, ROB SPENCER got in on the act and made it 5-1. The start of the Second Half and it was Lauceston that was playing the better of the football, but when your luck is against you, things happen and on 62 minutes, a error in the visiting defence saw DALE HOOPER slip in and score. To finish the scoring for the day, a quickly free kick by DAVE GILBERT caught the visitors off guard and the ball nestled in the corner of the net to make it 7-1.
